Two months passed since the order to find Xilon had been given to Aryren. Yet she was still split over the events, she hadn’t left her father’s home in 2 weeks other than to get some supplies. She simply sat alone in the house that had once felt so warm and safe.

Something about Xilon had changed her, made her feel for him. She didn’t want harm to come to him but at the same time she wanted to avenge her father. Thoughts of him passed through her mind as she tried to block them, thoughts of finding the people who had killed him and even taken the body so she couldn’t bury him. Slowly she got up and walked towards her room where a familiar rifle lay on the bed, Aeryn`s own purple and black design covered the weapon which she herself had built, the design had become her mark, purple flames and Crocowolf heads. She had turned something that brought fear into something she could use.

Outside the moon was bright and a sweeping fog covered Kras.  Aryren changed into her new outfit, the material was but flexible like an armor rubber weave, it was designed to absorb Eco blasts and was tight so that it would hold the body together against a tough impact. Her over jacket was tougher and made her feel a little safer, it was designed to help conceal her and act as anti-stabbing vest.
She looked into the mirror and placed her night vision googles over her head, she might well need them this night, though they mainly served as an aesthetic feature. The last things she took were a handgun Mizo had given her, and her bike keys. She didn’t want to be seen hauling around a large firearm with the task she had to do, and she didn’t feel it right to use her rifle on such a task.
She took one last look around before heading for the door, and without a sound slipped out to find Xilon.

In the city, despite the time of night, some people were still be active. In Aeryn's absence, Xilon had spent a lot of time by himself, even staying away from the racing circuit. He had wondered what happened to her since it had been so long since he  had heard anything of her. With threats against him rising, he really had no choice but to spend his time locked down in minor paranoia while he worked on his vehicle and his research.

He had been spending time fixing up his new car and was oil stained and sweaty. With a light sigh he wiped his hands of the black liquid on a rag and called it quits for the evening, he had no idea what time it actually was, something that had been happening more and more without his friend around. Xilon tried not to let it get to him, it did haunt him. Every time he seemed to have something good, it would be taken from him or it would just vanish, he could feel his will growing weak because of it.
Making his way out of the garage Xilon shut the light off, making the entire building dark except for the glimmering moonlight shining through the windows. In the dark he'd make his way up the stairs to his bedroom, removing his oily shirt and pants and throwing them into a basket on the way ready to try and get some sleep and try to put the day behind him as he had been doing for the last few weeks.

Xilon`s house from the outside was a formidable target, the outside walls were built to repel any climbing with jagged rock in places that could tear though flesh, and what Aeryn quickly identified as a sensor grid on the roof, designed to activate an alarm and perhaps traps if anyone disturbed them.
Aryren was to shaken up to try and break in however, and the Eco locks would be far too heavy.

Trying to focus she took out a packet of a stimulant drug she had been given to calm nerves. She hated relying on such a thing but she found it had become something she couldn’t give up, the drug made her emotions feel distant, sometimes she felt like a machine after taking them, she could do her job without hesitation.

Once the drug had been ingested Aeryn proceeded to the front door. Something felt weird as she felt it in her body, it didn’t feel the same as it had, but maybe it was because this wasn’t just some random mobster. Her weapon was in her back pocket and within reach as was a dagger, both would insure a quick death he deserved that at least
"oh does he? Are you really going to do it?" a voice sounded in her head. It made her pause, could she do it? Even if she did, would she ever be able to in a mirror ever again?

She took a deep breath trying to force the voice from her head, her hand begun to shake, it wasn’t normal, suddenly everything had started to feel far away, like she wasn’t in control, her hand knocked on the door.

Half way up the stairs, Xilon heard the knock on the door. He slowly looked back and went down the stairs to fetch his glove. Once he had it he groggily turned on the front light and opened the door. "Hello?" he questioned wearily before he realized who was standing before him. His tiredness melted away into a calm, but, happy emotion, "Aeryn!" he said, clearly surprised, "I haven't seen you in ages, please..come in!" he stepped aside and welcomed her in oblivious to the danger he had just invited.
Aryren said nothing and slipped inside, in the light her tired features were more obvious, she looked a wreak, and even her eyes reflected this as if someone else had taken her body, she was shaking sweat pouring down her face.
Xilon quickly locked the door behind her, before turning to face her. He could see right away that something wasn’t right, his guard began to creep up as her aura seemed unbalanced almost like a dog about to attack. His blood amber eyes wearily watched her as he tried to make sense of her different nature. "You don't look so good.." he then said to break the silence, "Not like I can say much for myself though. I'm not looking my best either." He gave a lightly nervous laugh, trying to get a reaction from her as to judge what was going on.

"So um...you ok?" even though he knew something was weird, he still sounded concerned, "Do you want something to drink or anything?"

Aeryn didn’t reply Xilon`s voice was distorted to her as was her vision now  it kept fading in and out of focus like she was going pass out "The drug..” she remembered thinking back to what she had taken, “something… in the drug”  But her mind was getting more confused as things started to take a very frightening turn, her surrounding were changing, it looked like she was in her house but.. Something was wrong, as she looked around Xilon’s image changed to that of a thug his now outstretched arm to her looked like it was reached out to hurt her.

"GET AWAY! she shouted pulling her gun out and pointing it at him, her aim was shaky as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing she backed up against a wall in panic "Don’t come any closer!"

Xilon immediately put his hands up defensively and gave her as much space as he could. This hadn't been the first time he had a gun pointed at him. Although, the whole thing did greatly upset him and took him off guard, he knew he shouldn't do anything stupid or rash. He kept quiet and simply pressed up against the wall behind him. He was afraid to speak, but felt after a moment he had to try, "Aeryn, please calm down." he kept his voice somber and calm, "It’s me Xilon, I'm your friend, I’m not going to hurt you"
Aryren was now shaking more but her aim was still surprisingly accurate, her skin was wet with sweat and her eyes were dilated. "You’re not my friend you’re a killer” The comment was said in a voice filled with both fear and anger.

Xilon had to do something fast,  he could help her, if only he could get out of this situation. He had been in worse scenarios but he almost couldn't think straight because the one pointing a weapon at him was a good friend. Without much warning, he  dodge-rolled past her in an attempt to get to the garage once more. If he could get to his green eco, he may be able to help calm Aeryn down.

Reacting to Xilon`s quick movement Aryren pulled the trigger but missed twice. Exhaused and on the verge of passing out, she finally collapsed in a ball on the ground the weapon clung to her hand as she simply sat in a trance of deep distress. "Just leave us alone" she kept saying over and over.

Xilon pooped his head out from the garage door seeing that Aeryn hadn’t followed  went ahead and swapped out his yellow eco canister with a green one and returned to Aeryn wearily. Though he wanted to try and help her he had to be very careful, he quickly powered up his glove and approached her just enough to be in range. He didn't want to risk anything further than just channeling the healing eco into her to stabilize her. As much as he cared about her, he didn't want to end up shot or dead.
She saw his approach however but simply covered her face and pointed her weapon "Don’t make me shoot, just get out!” Her aim seemed to be more stable this time, as she opened her eyes, the same strange dilution still there.

She pulled the trigger back slightly and was about to shoot when she saw his arm with the Ecoglove attached to it. "That… glove” She thought "How could a thug have Xilons Ecoglove on?" she flinched for a moment focusing all her remaining energy to think clearly as the image of the thug began to change “Xilon…?”
Xilon kept his defensive stance at this point just in case something sudden would happen again.
"Yes...Aeryn, it's me." He still managed to keep his voice calm, and kept himself prepared, "I'm not going to hurt you, I just want to help, will you let me?”

"Xilon, Mizo gave me something I can feel it in my mind.. Making me see things" She then pointed her gun away from Xilon and with all her effort throw it across the room.

"I can feel it in my mind, have… to fight it”
Xilon now got closer and against his instincts carefully took Aeryn's hand with his gloved hand and channeled the eco into her hand.
“Calm yourself the best you can, This will take a minute, but I can use this green eco to undo the effect. Just relax."

Aryren nodded and held his hand, a strange feeling washed over her not just the eco but.. the contact between them, she felt safe suddenly and calm the fog lifting as she looked into his eyes and put her second hand around his. She closed her eyes and concentrated on him as the drug’s effects were dissolved.
